Sound in a previous students work (28)

I found the use of music in this piece very effective. The whole track that was played throughout the sequence was a good soundtrack and it fit the tone and atmosphere of the sequence very well. The fact that the student was also in a studio like place singing the same song was also effective and the lyrics and rhythm of the song went will with the context of the piece.
Their use of foley sound was another good sound point. There was and amplified sound of the door being closed, also of his phone ringing which was played over the background track which was a good and effective idea. Without these sounds the piece wouldn't have been as effective. The track also brought a tense atmosphere especially when he walks past groups of teenaged boys.
Lastly, the foley sounds within the track for example, the police sirens also fitted with the whole theme of the sequence and let me know what the genre of the film was.
