A Target Audience is a particular group that a product or advertisement is aimed at.
Drama might just provide the broadest target audience out of all. It appeals to anyone from a teenage age and upwards. It is such a relatable and flexible genre that all can enjoy. A movie on school and street crime would appeal most to teenagers and adolescents whilst a movie on marriage problems or based in a courtroom would be more targeted at adults.
One you know what kind of dramatic film you are going for it becomes easier to know how to market it because you are now knowledgeable about who you are marketing it towards.
According to IMDb, Action is the most popular genre followed by crime and then fantasy.

Our group work will have more of an urban feel to it will be more directed at teenagers, people are age who can relate.
